Waiting in line

We’ve done every ride now so we wouldn’t wait longer than 30 minutes for any of them. We just make sure we have a good plan for the day, show up an hour before rope drop, and check for more FPs constantly throughout the day. Even if it only saves you 10 minutes it’s worth it.

We don't get in line if it will be more than 30 minutes unless it is something that I am just dying to ride (which is rare), but even then we won't get in line if it is over 45 minutes. The only exception was during our trip in January when we had both sons and our oldest son's girlfriend with us in January - none of them had done FoP yet. We couldn't get FPs in advance since it was less than 60 days out when they figured out they could come so we sucked it up and waited 120 minutes for it. The only reason we did that was the wait had been consistently much longer than that the entire time we were there but the line died down as a storm was rolling in so we hopped in line. Made it inside RIGHT as the torrential downpour started.

20 - 30 minutes is about the max that I will get in a line for the most part. Of course, there are exceptions, like FoP.

With FP+, there's no reason at all to get in any line more than about 20 minutes...even then we have to think long and hard about it. Only exception right now is FoP.

In general, 35 minutes is my limit. However, it depends on the circumstances, including how much I like the attraction, whether I need a break, and the weather conditions. If it is extremely hot or there is one of those torrential downpours, I might hop into a line with a longer wait for cover.

20 minutes. With FP+, one can secure 4th, 5th, etc FP and never wait. We book our fastpasses for 9, 10 and 11. As I use the first, I modify the second if possible, and so on.

For me i feel like the cut off point is 60 mins! we are going this year and its a big debate between us in regards to FOP and Na'vi river about how long we can wait for these two rides as we arent fans of the film.

I will say that going Thanksgiving week meant accepting longer waits for things we wouldn't normally wait for. We were fine with it.

Typically our cut off is to not get on a line with a posted wait time of more than 30 minutes, just like getting to the parks early helps with wait times staying late helps as well, we have two young kids so at 10 at night in MK we have no problem getting through most of the rides they like, plus our 5 year old has ADHD so waiting in any confined space for more than 30 minutes straight might drive him, me, or anyone around us crazy lol

Because we're lucky enough to have gone/go yearly, & we do some rope drops (not EVERY day though) & use the FP+ system to do the rides with the typically longer lines, so it makes things manageable. Even with this, we go at a busy time, (T-giving) so there are longer waits, but we manage to avoid the super long ones I think. But depending on the ride we think 20-25 min for the smaller rides and 35-45 for a bigger ride is 'typical' & do-able that time of year. (The lines are shorter earlier in the week) When I see the ppl standing in a 2 hour Splash Mountain ride at 2:00 I cringe, there's no way my feet could do it! If we saw hour waits we'd be a "pass" or "come back later"... But we If we didn't go as often, I'd be willing to wait in longer lines of course.

I also think they often over-estimate the ride line time. My totally unsupported theory is that they do it to keep people happy & give a cushion... (No one complains if the wait said 45 min and only took 35... but if it said 45 and took an hour? Totally different!)

20-30 minutes is our max, generally. I will wait longer in the right circumstances (like for Crush's Coaster at DLP - it doesn't have fastpass and I very rarely go there, so I just had to suck it up and wait).

We won't wait over 20 min. The only exception to that was last summer right after FOP opened; we couldn't get a fp, so we waited about an hour and half to ride it - totally worth it!

I am not bothered by waiting in lines but we tend to skip any long lines at MK since there's so much to do. At the other parks I'd wait a bit more since there are less rides. The line problems we have had are for the characters with no FP and my daughter just had to get all her autographs. Much harder to skip those if your kids have their heart set on meeting them/filling up their books. The lines are tough to time just right and move SOOOOOOO slow. . you think it's going to 15-20 and then it's like an hour.

About 30 minutes would be my max. Even then it would have to be something I really really like and there's nothing else appealing with a shorter line. There's no ride that I enjoy so much that I would stand in line for hours. I know I'd be tired, hot and a big fussy pants if I did that all day lol.

60 minutes tops for rides that we love.... all others 30 minutes. I'm not liking what I'm seeing with the current wait time situation. I hope Disney does something to fix this.

How do you use it wisely? I’m curious for your tips.

With a family of 6 it can be a bit tougher (But still doable) to get those additional fastpasses. And you have to spend more time on your phone. That's why we like to mix in early morning rope drops (EMH if possible) and also late nights, mainly at MK or even Epcot PM EMH. Hope that helps!

There is no ride we will wait more than 45 minutes for. There are multiple reasons and the biggest one is that there are no rides at WDW worth waiting that long for when the park is open. Now, we do get to parks early to RD things like FoP, Soarin, etc. But once the park is open, standing in long lines are not our thing.

30 minutes. We Fastpass all the rides that will be consistently over that and use the app to get more fastpasses once we've used those. We've conquered 10/10 crowd days without waiting more than 30 min.

If its something I REALLY want to go on, 50min-1hr. But I have to really really want to ride. Otherwise 20-35min max I'd wait.

Have waited 2 hrs for FOP, 7DMT & to ride Soarin' one last time before the refurb. That's my max & only under extraordinary circumstances. Otherwise, about 1/2 an hour is tops. We're FL residents with APs so we have lots more opportunities .
