Waiting for dates!

I agree the boys are cute, but boy are they a handful! They love Buzz Lightyear's ride. You'll have to let me know how to get them top score!

I think I have these instructions on the wish trippers thread...in post 2...

I can't remember right now...but I think it is hitting the back arm that is moving in the first room...the volcano in the 2nd room and below Zurg in the 3rd room. The 4th room it used to be the little disc below his head (the mini target)...but I am positive it didn't work for me when I was there in October.

I have gotten 999999 twice on the ride using these tips....those are high scoring items.

But if they get a "bad" laser (and they have several that are hard to see and hear), then they should ride again...especially with the button! :)

Yep - Maroo got it! Billy and I have maxed the score a lot of times, its so much fun!!! lol....You guys are going to have so much fun!!! Does Michael have a hard time moving around and stuff breathing wise??? He is just so adorable....any word on your Mom's possible 3rd transplant yet?? I was praying for her last night.....:goodvibes

So glad the jury duty got postponed!!!
I bet three of boys are a handful. I have two daughters and only one boy and I always said that there is no difference and it is all how they are raised.....well I learned the truth quickly. Boys seem to have more energy than they know what to do with. It does look like they get along from the pictures, though.

Yes, Michael gets tired a lot quicker than most kids. He gets out of breath if he walks too much. We're trying to figure out how to do the parks and not have him get too tired. Do you know if those strollers they have for rent are big enough to hold a 7 year old? We don't have one big enough for him, but I've seen pictures of wish kids in those ones from the parks and they seem big.
My mom is still in Pittsburgh going through the evaluation. They should be finding out more today. Sounds like they think she is still probably "too healthy" right now. That's a good thing, because then they'll probably come home and wait a bit longer before moving to Pittsburgh to be placed back on the list. But on the other hand you also don't want to take a chance of catching something and getting too sick to be retransplanted. It's really hard to know if you're doing the right thing. She would at least like to come back home and be here through the holidays at least. I know they ideally would like to stay here in Nebraska until after May when my sister graduates from college and Michael has his 1st Holy Communion. Hopefully today they will get some more definitive answers.

Disney gives you a FREE double stroller to each wish family. You will need to get a "stroller as a wheelchair" tag so that you can keep it with you, if he is tired or asleep. You get that tag at Guest Relations when you get to the first park.

But...that won't help you at Sea World (which is HUGE, a lot bigger than I had imagined) or Universal...so you may want to consider renting a special needs stroller from a medical type company or a stroller rental company. The disABILITIES board has lots of info on that in their FAQ section. Your MAW chapter may also pay for the stroller rental. That way you could use it at all the parks and even at GKTW, if you needed to.

Praying for your Mom.

Special needs strollers are something I deal with all the time!!! It might not work for this trip, but in general, you should try getting your insurance to cover something like a Convaid Cruiser or Easy Rider for him. This sounds like it would be a medical necessity for him at this time! At Disney, the double strollers are definately big enough (both boys could prob sit in it) and definately get the stroller as a wheelchair pass to keep it with you so he doesnt always have to stand in line (un necessary use of energy). You could also try looking on craigslist or ebay for one - they fold like a big umbrella stroller (also Maclaren has one).

Maroo - does GKTW have something they could borrow?

Energy conservation is so hard with little boys especially!!! Hopefully he'll be able to rest a bit in the stroller so he can use his energy for FUN STUFF!!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I got a free double stroller at Sea World and Universal. The passes are good at those theme parks too. Just need to show your GAC at the stroller rental place.

Kylee was 5 when we went the last time and she was very uncomfortable in them. She couldn't sleep in them very well. If he is going to just sit..he maybe fine. The stroller rental..like Mary said is great. i know a few people that went that way and loved them. They have a SN stroller called Liberity(sp). You can also just get a Manuel wheel chair at each theme park for free with your passes too. I know from last experience that DW and Universal is a lot of walking just to get to the stroller rental and Kylee was exhausted by the time we got one. This time I'm just bring her SN stroller with us. I can't afford the stroller rental for the SN one and I know our Chapter won't pay for it. BTW...I believe if you say you are on a wish trip at the rental stroller they give you a discount.

Just sub'ing to following your story!! I have a boy and a girl and they are so DIFFERENT!!!!!! :)

As for the strollers....my two fit (snug together since my two are TALL for their age) in the double stroller last year when they had just turned 5 and 7. :) I am sure Michael will fit fine alone!

I forgot to put my disboards name on our note!! I am so glad you like the bag!! He looks so happy to be holding it. We thought it was cool that both of us have a Lance and an Alex in the family. :) My Alex (DD7) will be thrilled that Michael liked her picture. My DDS5 drew on the bottom of my note and he was the one who asked (and then did) to lead in us prayer for Michael.

Thank you so much to the Davis Family! Michael received a gift card to Disney World today in the mail! He was so excited-he really likes gift cards-they have been the gift of choice lately for his birthday and Christmas! I really appreciate it! Congratulations to Nancy (weluvdizne) on the new baby that is coming! Babies are so much fun! Michael really appreciates the Pixie Dust and already knows where he wants to spend it-at the toy store at Downtown Disney! Thanks

Thank you to the Laxton family! Michael was so excited to receive a Disney Gift Card in the mail. He is planning how to spend it. He thinks he will get a toy for his friend Luke who has the same disease as him and just had a lung transplant. He even said that he would buy his brother a present-now that's amazing!

Thanks again for your generosity.

Awwww - what a sweet boy - that is sooooo cool!!:wizard: Mindy - are you going to take him to Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney?

It feels like Christmas around here! Everyday Michael goes running to the door to see if there are any packages and everyday there seems to be another one!

We want to thank Katie Danakis (katied) and The Crean Family for the most wonderful scrapbook, picture account and t-shirts! I was thrilled to see the scrapbook that came from Katie. Being a scrapbooker myself (actually more like a collector of scrapbook items) I was so impressed with how wonderful it was. I can't wait to take pictures and put them in it! We are also very excited to wear our new t-shirts. The Crean Family sent us t-shirts for the whole family with Harry Potter themes on them to wear to Universal Studios. Harry Potter is the boys' most favorite movies. They also made the neatest Epcot Ball t-shirts. I love them and can't wait to wear them!
