Waiting for a resale is hard!!!

O.K. I'll admit I'm a VERY impatient person, but waiting for a resale is HARD!! We want a 150 - 200 point contract at BWV with either a Feb, March or April Use year. We only travel in the summers, so those work best for us. Of course there was a perfect contract listed at Timesharestore, but of course it was listed as sale pending the day I started looking, last Friday. I know it's been less than a week, but I sit here and wonder if the right contract will ever come along. Timeshare Store has another listing that meets our criteria, but doesn't have any points available until 3/06, not a good deal IMO. I've contact all of the resalers and have my name on all the lists. Hopefully something will come my way soon. I wanted to book a BW view room for next summer, and really wanted to find and close on a contract quickly so I would have the best chance. All of my other points are at VWL, so I can book there, but it's the BW rooms I really crave. Oh well, to have an impatient person wait is VERY hard. Is there some sort of 12 step program for those of us waiting on the perfect contract..... I can't imagine even waiting on ROFR, I might have a stroke!!!!

Yes, it is VERY hard. We are looking for another add on at BCV. We need an October use year and want 100 points or so. Be patient, it will happen.

I've been waiting patiently for over a year now for a real small ad-on (50 points or so) at OKW with a February use year. I check at least once a day - usually about 3 or 4X actually!!! I'll keep being patient though - sooner or later it's got to come up - right?

It's hard but I'm sure you will find what you're looking for. However, have you considered looking at Dec UY contracts or contracts with slightly more points than what you had in mind. If you're considering Feb UY, Dec might work as well. You have until end of May to bank 100% and as long as your plans don't have a habit of changing at the last minute, it might be a consideration.

You might want to give ******* at Timeshares By Resale. I got an e-mail from her today that has a 50 point OKW resale, with all '04 points still available. It's $77 per point.

Oh, also vacationsonly.com has about 5 BWV listings on it. They do not post use years, but you might want to give them a call and see what they have.

It wouldn't hurt to give TTS a call and tell them that you are interested in the contract in case the deal falls through. I got one of our add-ons in that way.

Thanks for all of the advice. The Ebay listing looks VERY interesting, but I'm a little wary going through a private party. Has anyone done that and have any advice? jekjones1558 - I've already done that, so I'm waiting for it to fall through!!! I doubt it though...

For the last 30 days, we've been following an e-Bay auction on a VWL contract offered through an Orlando ReMax dealer. Decided to bid last night just seconds before the auction ended and, lo & behold, we managed to win the auction! It is a great contract - 370 points banked with another 370 points due September. Our bid came out to $70.xx per point -- hope Disney doesn't exercise ROFR on this! If we pass ROFR, we will be selling a 270 pt BWV contract, Feb use year, just banked all 2004 points today!!

I suggest that you don't make the Use Year a limiting concern. While Feb-April might be ideal for you, you can work with just about any use year. The only issue at all with Use Year is the banking limitations that might come into play IF you decide to cancel a reservation.

Anyhow, a listing just showed up on Lee Reid's site for a 200 pt listing at BWV with current year points intact. It's a June 1 use year, so it would work well for summer trips (with the exception of Memorial Day). You might want to consider making an offer on it:

That one I know is taken, there is another one that hasn't been added to her website, but was in her e-mail update to clients who have contacted her. Give her a call this morning and see if it's still available.
