Wait Times

Counter service restaurants can get as heavy as 30 minutes, and most sit down restaurants are booked with ADRs. You can always try for a cancellation, but those rarely happen. My suggestion, and we have done it in the past, adjust your schedule to eat earlier or later than the norm, and the lines are significantly shorter.

P.S. If you pack in your own snacks, just tell them that you are diabetic, and they are good with that. I am diabetic, and bring in my own snacks all the time. Snacks can get you through the times that are eating a late lunch or late dinner.

Thx, yes we have plenty of ADR's...however I have read that a few have had issues with long waits after their ADR time, given that it was free dining. Just thought I would check and see if that is the case.

We had 8 ADRs and generally had to wait 10-20 minutes. A couple times it was less than 5 minutes (Marrakesh, Cape May). Tusker House (breakfast) was probably the longest wait, at about 20 minutes. Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's (breakfast) were about 15.

Hi we just returned arrived 8/7 returned 8/28. We did free dining and upgraded to the deluxe dining plan. The longest we had to wait was Le Cellier 40 mins (due to eat at 8pm sat down at 8.40) and Plaza at MK was also 40 mins.

We had adr's for the full 21 days we were there and every where else we were either sat after approx 10 mins wait or if we arrived early we were occasionally seated early.

Enjoy your trip

OK, so you can get the free dining package, and then upgrade to the Deluxe? I didn't know that! Can you tell I am newbie! May I ask how much an upgrade costs?

We upgraded and it's $32 per adult per day. Don't know what the charge is for children. If you call to upgrade you need to talk to Guest Services because some of the CM's who answer the phone lines don't know how to do an upgrade.

Thanks everyone!

$32 seems pretty step, no?

nd a 40 minute wait is also up there. Oh well, we will just go with the flow - no choice, right? :confused3

Never longer than 15 minutes all week, not even at Le Cellier. I have not attended any buffets or character meals.

Upgrading the dining plan to deluxe is $32 per adult and $10 per child, per NIGHT, not per day.
