Wait times in Oct??

Hey guys! Just wondered if anyone happened to know what the wait times are like early Oct?? We're going 4th-18th Oct (Can't wait!!) and it's supposed to be Disney's quietest time of year but I just wondered how Universal compared?? Should I be buying Express Passes or will the lines be much shorter than usual?? My son's only 6 so we won't be going on any of the rollercoasters but he will want to go on the Harry Potter ride which I know is most popular in IOA. Thanks!

Wait times will be very manageable in October...it's not a busy time. Wait until you arrive and can see the wait times before buying EPs...they are non-refundable and date/park specific. I doubt you'd need them when you're visiting.

We were planning to leave our vacation rental (paid for the night), to spend a night at a Universal Hotel to get the express passes for two days. Are the lines short enough where this isn't necessary? Dates will be the 8-9 of Oct. Hoping to do Harry Potter first thing both mornings.
