wait times at Gringott's in morning (EE)? Any wait in the moring to ride the Hogwart's Express? I'm thinking of doing EE on a Sunday for US.

It depends on where in the early admission line you are. If you get to early admission 45-60 minutes in advance you should be able to have under a 15 minute wait providing that nothing breaks down. There isn't really much line for the Howarts Express.

This is how things are right now. Things may be totally different in a few weeks when the crowds start to subside.

We did EE yesterday for Universal. We got to the gate around 6:45 and there were about 30 people there already. Gates opened right at 7:30. Watched the adults run to DA despite TM's telling them not to run. We were the third set to ride. Sat down to ride at 7:59. Got off and the ride time was at 120 minutes already. Did single rider line next, which took close to 50 mins including a 10 minute breakdown. When we got done the ride time was up to 180 minutes and a ton of people were heading back to DA as we headed for the exit.

That was just about the same wait times we had. In line at turnstile at 6:45am, let into the park at 7:25am, in line at Gringotts at 7:45a for a 15 minute wait. When we exited, the wait time was up to 90 min. Went immediately over to Hogwarts Express and rode London to Hogsmeade with no wait. Hogsmeade back to London was about a 20 min wait. At 9:30 the wait time for Gringotts was 240 min. At noon it was 195 min.

Can anyone report if Gringotts is running at full capacity now or are they still operating at limited capacity? Also what are the wait times for Forbidden Journey? Are people ignoring Hogsmeade in favor of DA?

I read that they are running 7 trains now. So not at full capacity yet.

Forbidden Journey doesn't have as long as a wait.

On Tuesday, we arrived at US about 7 for EE and gates opened at 7:30. Walked to DA and weaved around back by Fear Factor for several minutes before making it into DA, but the line moved at a pretty steady pace. Once we got to the front on Gringott's, the wait time was 20-30 minutes.

The park was crowded, but we never saw a wait time for HE over 30min. Forbidden Journey stayed around 45min.

We considered doing EE at 7am at IOA and taking the first train over, but ultimately decided it was too much trouble. Considering the pretty reasonable wait time, I think we made the right decision. The key is to get to the gates an hour before the listed EE time.

I will be at royal pacific resort from aug 17 to 20 and would like to get to diagon alley for early entry, what time does the boat start running at royal pacifc for ee or is it better to walk to uv?

I know the buses started running from cabana bay at 6am.
But from RP, unless you know you can catch the very first boat and not have to wait for one, I would definitely walk. It's a nice walk, and if you walk at a decent pace, you can get there pretty quickly.

Entered main park entrance at 7:30am yesterday (8/9). Was on ride at 8:30am. :)

We visited on Saturday morning, staying at Cabana Bay. The concierge at Cabana Bay suggested going EE at Universal Studios at 8am rather than Islands at 7 am.

We boarded the bus at Cabana Bay around 6:45am, got to the entrance at Studios around 7:10am. There were about 50 people in each entry line at that time. Gates opened at 7:28am, got to Diagon Alley around 7:45am. The posted wait at that time for Gringotts was 30 min., but quickly changed to 45 min. Got on Gringotts around 8:30am and when we got off, the wait time had reached 135 min.

Took the Hogwarts Exp. to Hogsmeade (5 min. wait) and went on Forbidden Journey, which was only about a 10 min. wait. Got off there around 9:05am and took the Hogwarts Exp. back to Diagon Alley.

Is it just me or does it seem that the wait time for EE is the same as just waiting to ride Gringotts?

If the average daily wait time during the day for Gringotts is around 2 hours, and early entry is an hour before the park opens, but you have to be there an hour before that. Plus the wait you experience once you get to the ride during EE

I'm just wondering if there's really an advantage? I'm still about a month away and trying to determine if we should do EE or just get there and wait.

No.

You are not really waiting all that time. If you get there before 7:30, say you wait 15/20 minutes for the turnstiles to open at 7:30. Then you walk for about 10 minutes back to DA, and you get on the ride somewhere between 8 and 8:30. You are only waiting say about 60-75 minutes. If you get there anytime past say 9:00am you are looking at a minimum of 120 minute wait but more likely closer to 3 hours.

Thanks for breaking this down for me. Our only 2 options for EE are Saturday (our last full day in Universal) or morning of Sunday before we switch over to Disney.

Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll casually walk in on our arrival day Thursday, September 25th and the wait will be reasonable! Here's hoping!

That seems to make some sense although if you are waiting at early entry before everything else opens up and then you do Gringott's....then you have the rest of the day when the rest of the park is open to do whatever. If you wait and do not do EE...then you are wasting up to 2 hours of the rest of your day for Gringott's. You have to wait either way...but are nor wasting precious park time if you do EE.
