Wait times for a phone representative?

I've now been waiting 23 minutes to speak to someone on the phone about my reservation. Is this normal? It'd be so much easier if there was a way to cancel resort reservations online.

Yes, sometimes it's normal to wait awhile. With that said, I've never waited more than around 5 minutes to talk to someone, but I know there are times the lines are busy with long waits. I know the military discount just came out, so maybe that's making things busier than usual. I hope your call is answered soon :).

They are very busy with the new military discount being released yesterday. Expect longer than normal wait time. :)

I called this morning at 8ish (mountain) and only waited about 30 seconds to book a new reservation.

Congratulations on your booking!

As far as wait times, up until yesterday, I never really had a wait. Yesterday I waited almost 20 minutes. But I know they were glitchy yesterday and very busy with military discounts.

It depends; if a discount has been announced; the wait will be long for the first couple of hours.

If you normally call through lunch hours through the time zones, I have found a wait. People who have the advantage of calling from work often call during that time.

I don't know about evening hours, but I would say that may be a bit of a wait if people are waiting to get home to discuss their trip.

But the biggest waits will be when a discount is announced, like the military one.

When I call, I usually will get a recording saying what my expected wait time will be. If it's longer than I want, I hang up and try again later.

Thanks everyone. It was finally answered at around 30 minutes. Everything went smoothly once the CM answered. Even connected me to dining to cancel a BBB reservation. So hoping to be on the phone again in a week to make a new BBB reservation and add free dining.

I waited for 45 minutes yesterday, but got the 40% military discount on the rooms I wanted, so I didn't feel so bad after that!

I called a few nights ago and they picked right up. For our February trip everytime I called the wait was at least a half hour. In fact on a couple of occasions after a half hour I gave up.

I waited 1 hour and 18 minutes yesterday to add my military rate to my plans and then 49 minutes later in the evening to pay off my whole reservation.

I got through about a hour ago, with minimal wait. The CM said they were very busy yesterday. This morning, I was waiting as well, so I hung up. Between a new promo and one ending I'm sure they are busy. It seems rooms are selling out at the All Stars.
