Wait list-Thanksgiving-Any hope/Suggestions????

We own at SSR and unfortunately waited until today to reserve a rooms for 20 for Thanksgiving week. We were fortunate enough to get a grand villa for Sun-Mon-Tues, but nothing for Wed or Thursday. As this is our first big family trip my better half is very disappointed that we could only have the gv for three days. I went ahead with confidence as I had to borrow next years points and booked two-two-bedroom for Wed and Thursday. We waitlisted but am wondeering if there is any hope. If not does anyone have any experience moving a large group half way through. We were hoping to give a trip of a life time to our family...(we have two studios also)...Here's to late planning...and hoping for the best. Your help and guidance is always appreciated..

Book at 11 months out next year. If you are new member, you just learned the hard way about booking holidays.

I think that you should have hope. You still aren't at the 11 month mark. So maybe there will be some movement then.

Also, with the economy, I wouldn't be surprised if there end up being some cancellations that may free up the GV for you.

Thanks all. We always book ahead of time and never had a problem-usually studios-with trying to plan a big trip and the way the economy is going in upstate NY I was nervous about making reservations and loosing out if we have to cancel-I finally went with confidence and could get plenty of studios-one or two bedrooms but not the grand villa. I think we should just go with two bedrooms for the full week vs the grand and changing but I took what I could get and will hope for the best.
