Wait List ?s

I have booked 6 nights at my home resort, VWL. I've decided to split the stay- 3 nts at BCV and 3 nts at VWL. I am on a wait list for the BCV for the first 3 nts. This is my first DVC stay. So, I'm a bit new to all of this. Should I just wait/hope that the wait list comes through or should I call every day and check to see the availability? Thanks!!
