Wait List room & buying rooms for cash

Do wait lists normally come thru? Our vacation is in April. We have two rooms on a waitlist. I did pay for cash for the rooms but I am hoping the room comes available to use our points.

Also, if rooms are not available for cash now, will that change? Do they ever open up more rooms for cash?

How many nights do you have your waitlists for? Am I understanding correctly you are waitlisting for two rooms? or do you mean two nights?

You will have better luck checking for availability yourself and not counting on the waitlist.

This is true. I had a change of dates because of work for a trip in November 2014. I found out in September and BWV did not have any studio for the dates I wanted, all days were booked (Sunday to Thursday nights). To make it worse, Monday was Veterans Day and the end of F & W. I waitlisted pool/garden view and booked the room with an AP discount. I kept checking online and within a week or two Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights opened. Since the waitlist doesn't pick up individual nights, I booked those nights and then changed the waitlist to Sunday and Monday nights. Then a couple weeks later, I saw Monday night open. Booked it and then changed the waitlist to just Sunday night. At about 28 days out, the waitlist filled for that night and member services combined all the reservations to one. I then cancelled the AP reservation.
