Wait list question

Fairly new to DVC. If I put in a waitlist request for a trip that would require borrowing next year’s points, do I have to borrow the points before putting in the waitlist? Or will the waitlist give me the option of only borrowing points in the event the wait list is successful?

When creating the WL, the system will ask whether you want to borrow points if needed. So you give permission then, and if the WL comes through the CM who processes it will borrow the needed points.

You can’t actually borrow points except when making a reservation.
