Can someone tell me if I understand how this works correctly?

I have a one bedroom booked and am considering a two bedroom.

I would need to borrow ahead the points needed for the two bedroom.

If I call and request the two bedroom will they automatically cancel the one bedroom and borrow those points if the waitlist comes through.....?

You can set up the waitlist to cancel an existing reservation and use the points to book the waitlisted reservation, plus borrow.

Have only done online..

But do the search for the exact dates and room type, etc..

When it shows unavailable, choose to waitlist entire stay

When you go through the waitlist booking it will ask you to authorize borrowing of points as well as allow you to setup an auto cancellation of an existing booking...you simply need to put in existing booking resort, dates and room type.
