Wait list newbie question

I had to use wait list for the first time. Here is the situation where I need help: I was able to book day 2 of a 3 day stay. I wait listed day 1 and day 3. Day one came thru. In order for day 3 to be complete, I need to purchase some of the one-time use $15/point points. My day 3 wait list was inactivated - I'm assuming because I am a few points short. How do I do this so it works out that when the room is available, my wait list will go thru? Thanks!

You can not use one time use points for a wait list. So, you will have to authorize borrowing or if no points to borrow, just keep checking the website and if you see it come up, call MS quickly to book with the one time points.

Thank you Sandi for the reply. That's what I was afraid of......the original wait list was a complete surprise moving thru because I have been checking 3-4 times a day. Off the buy some points from someone
