Wait for Safari?

Hi all! Super excited because I got to pick our FP this morning for March.

I’m trying to keep an eye on the waits this morning, but how does Kilimanjaro Safari look within the first hour of opening?

I was thinking RD Navi, book it to Safari, and make it back to FoP during our 10-11 FP slot. That would free up my Safari FP, which I’d switch to Kali probably.

Feel conflicted and wonder about people’s experiences or thoughts.

Unless it's the holidays, the line isn't terrible during the first hour, but it will start to slowly build. My only concern with your plan is that it's a lot of back and forth. My suggestion would be to rope drop Navi, followed immediately by a FP+ for FoP. Then a FP+ for safari after that. If you want Kali, just get it as a 3rd...or 4th or 5th...it's not hard to get.

Thank you for the response! I agree, it felt like a lot of back and forth. I had hoped to do exactly what you described, but the only FoP FP available was at 10. So there’s probably 20 minutes of downtime in there that I don’t love - but I should probably use that to fully explore Pandora.

We went to Animal Kingdom at 12/6 and walked right on to the Safari at like 4pm in the afternoon. The wait times have definitely gone down since Pandora opened. We rode the safari SEVERAL times during our trip.

It builds in the morning and is pretty long during the morning and mid-day. But by late afternoon, it drops to nothing and stays that way until closing.

That’s an interesting strategy! I’m hoping to leave around 1 or so for a break, then come back in the evening. So perhaps we could hit the Safari then (either again or for the first time). Thanks to you both!
