If you dine at this restaurant inside, is there a place outside to watch the fireworks after dinner? How is the food?

Haven't eaten there yet, but the view will be just OK for fireworks. The better view would be if you walk over to the boat dock at the Poly.

Yes we watched from there but there is an overhang and there are better spots...but I will say the loveliness of the restaurant's ambience can't be beat for viewing.

In terms of viewing fireworks from a restaurant nothing beats Narcoossee's terrace for me.

I stayed at the Poly Tower in January. It was very cold that week so I enjoyed fireworks from my room which was a first time luxury for me and because of the cold temps much appreciated. I got mobile order several nights from Wailulu and it was really good every time. Loco Moco, pot sticker, sweet potato hummus, chicken wings, wayfinder burger... would get any of them again. But the thing that has me wanting to get park tix again and go back is the sticky pork ribs. OMG they were fabulous!

We got to enjoy the evening there about 2 weeks ago. With the right outdoor table, the view of the castle and fireworks is decent. We were slightly disappointed in the restaurant itself, with the service slow and food just ok. The place is nice enough, however, that I think we'll give it another shot in the future, hoping the mediocre experience was just part of some growing pains for a new restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautiful, especially if dining outside. And yes, it's definitely walk-up only...

You could walk over to the beach to see the fireworks after you eat. However, you will not be able to park at the Poly as Wailulu doesn't take advance reservations. You can park at the TTC and walk over, take Disney transportation to the Poly, or take a rideshare to the TTC and walk from there.

Just a lesson-learned for us regarding rideshare and the Poly. Folks should request a ride to the original Poly, and then walk over to the Tower. They would not let us is via rideshare at the Tower entrance. It's a fairly simple walk over from the Main building, but we were surprised and disappointed they didn't open the gate for rideshare - it's an electronic entry with a call button, not an actual person.

Agree! That's why I said to take a ride share to the TTC and walk, not a rideshare to the Poly, that way no worries at either gate about getting in! Sometimes the OG Poly won't allow rideshares in the gate. 🙂

Even at the Poly? We had no issue there - just the Tower.

Yep! There have been reports of rideshares being turned away, especially in the morning as people try to get dropped off there to use the monorail to get to the park. If you have an ADR, then it's not an issue. No ADR, don't count on getting in. It might happen, but the rideshare might be turned away.

And since Wailulu has no ADRs (yet), it could be risky. We went in for dinner on a weeknight, which might've made the access via rideshare ok for the guards.

Probably! How did you like it? Leaving for FL again on Saturday, only in the Orlando area for a day or two this trip. We tried to get in when we were there in February, but the wait was too long as we had to be somewhere else, so we went to Tambu Lounge instead. May try to get over there again (we'd park at TTC as some of our group have AP's).

Maybe our expectations were too high, but we were disappointed. It's a beautiful restaurant, especially dining outside. But the service was slow and the food just ok for our meal. Hoping to try it again in the future, thinking perhaps the slowness was due to some growing pains for a new place (and perhaps not the best server that night). We wanted it to be really good! I would not tell anyone to not try it, though - hope you get the chance.

is the wait really long, since it's walk-ins only?

Depends. Last week during Tuesday, wed, Thursday it was easy walk up for a table or sitting at the bar. On Friday night the wait for a table was about an hour around 7pm. The bar area was packed.
