I came across an old thread that said that you can't take a wagon on the bus. Just making sure this is still the case
Thanks

Like a kid's wagon?

I've never heard anything about the buses (although that would make sense) but I'm 99% sure they're on the list of things you can't bring into the theme parks. (Pretty much nothing you pull behind you on wheels including luggage and rolling coolers.)

yeah a kids wagon. okay dh will just have to push the double stroller. do you know why you can't have a wagon at the park?

Would we be better off with 2 lightweight strollers or a double for the bus?
Thanks

We actually saw a family with a little red wagon getting off the boat at Fort Wilderness after MNSSHP last week. I was kind of surprised that they allowed it.

I finally found the info here on the DIS (I knew it was here somewhere)...

The following are not allowed to be brought into the Disney Theme Parks:

* Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
* Alcoholic beverages
* Weapons of any kind
* Folding chairs
* Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
* Pets (unless they are service animals)
* In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted. Note: they now have biodegradable paper straws.

You can't take your wagon into the parks, but if you are staying at the Fort, it would be a fun way to take the kids looping.

Maybe they just held it for them while they were at the parks. I know they will not allow them in.

Interesting because we saw the same thing. We were there Sept 25th-Oct 2nd (TR is coming soon!). One night we rode the boat over to MK with a group dressed as Pirates. They had a wagon decorated as a pirates ship...complete with mast and all. It was very cool. I remember thinking to myself that's a great idea to tow the kiddos in. Maybe it's OK just during the MNSSHP??? I have to say that I did not see them once we got off the boat so I don't know if they were allowed to take it in or not. If not, it's a shame because you could tell they had really worked hard on it.

I wondered why I kept seeing carry on luggage in the parks when there was a no luggage rule. I never noticed the sizes before, but they are large enough that carry on's would be allowed.

I saw some coolers this past July that were larger than that though in MK. One was one of those aluminum ones that's about four feet long and the people had rented a double stroller to push it around in. So I don't know how that made it through.

Wagons are one thing I haven't seen though.

I saw someone turn left outside my office yesterday despite the sign that says no left turn. Maybe the city is allowing it now? Hey - I think I'll do it, too!

If it were me, I'd go with 2 lw strollers over the double. Especially on crowded buses, a big double can be a pain.
I'm pretty sure you can't take the wagons into the park because of their size and the fact that they can be very hard to steer through a crowd. It's also a bad idea because it puts your kids behind your line of sight, if you're pulling the wagon from the front.

I plan to sneak up behind the bus and tie the wagon to the bumper. That way I can stash a 6-pack and enjoy it on the way to the park. It also gets me past that silly "no standing in front of the yellow line" rule.

Thanks - When I posted originally I didn't realize you couldn't take a wagon into the parks. Not that it matters, but dh has 2 older kids that would have walked behind us to make sure that the 2 little ones were fine.

It is kind of funny that they don't allow wagons there-all the places around here allow wagons and we never thought there would be a problem. oh well just glad I checked.

most the time, the rolling suitcases and coolers, are carried in on the shoulder. Most the suitcases are alternate backpacks. So they can bring them in technically, if they are being carried. I've seen some strange things in double rental strollers.

If you're just going to the pool or the settlement, as long as the kids are out of the wagon, and you carry it on the bus, they probably won't have a problem with it. I prefer using my scooter around the Fort, because if I get tired, I can just hop on the bus. Some of them have me fold it. Most the time I leave it open, standing it in front of me.

Wait,,you mean that you haven't been doing that !?!? Well get with the program man !! I've been doing that for years.

I also look directly into the sun and put chewed gum in my hair.(Why else would I keep my hair so short) :rotfl2:

Don't strollers have to be folded up anymore, when getting on the bus? I remember when our son was little, we weren't allowed to bring the stroller on the bus, unless it was folded and stashed in front of us. Couldn't be in the aisle.

B2F: That is just not right. :sad2::lmao:

ABSOLUTELY, they have to be folded up, be under the control of the owner, and not be blocking the aisle. I will make you move to the back if it is. I think there should be a size restriction on strollers just like there is now on ECVs.

There is a site restriction on how big strollers can be. I am pretty sure it is posted on the Disney website. Can't say how often it is obeyed/enforced, but I know I have seen size restictions.
