Wagons in the Parks

This is quite interesting. I have always read on here that wagons were NOT allowed in any Disney park. And, I must admit, I had never seen a wagon in any Disney park.

Lo and behold, last Thursday, May 6th we were in the Animal Kingdom and the couple in front of us had their 2 little girls in a wagon. They looked to be about 2 and 3 years old. It was one of those Little Tykes plastic wagons with little cupholders.

We were on the Jungle Trek Tiger Walk thing, where there is NO room to get around them. Just wondering how they got in with a wagon?

Anyone know if the rule has changed?

I don't know how they got it in, but I'm certain that the rule against wagons has not changed.

i really hope they didn't change the policy on this! i cannot stand wagons and cannot imagine how annoying they would be in the parks.

I personally wrote Disney asking this exact question - for my 4 yo grandson. He doesn't mind sitting in a wagon - but doesn't like strollers (says he's too big)

Disney said absolutely NOT........that it was a safety issue. So wonder how they slipped it thru.......

I was at the Swan last weekend and saw a family pulling a wagon heading back from Epcot, did not actually see them in the park with it. But I still thought it was odd.

I'm really kicking myself now for not asking them how they got into Animal Kingdom with a wagon. I just found it really interesting. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw them and said to my husband, "well, would you look at that." He had no clue what I was talking about. (We don't have children.) I said, "they have their kids in a wagon, and wagons are not allowed in the parks."

My husband says, "how do you know that? Oh, your message boards."
