LOL!! I just heard one of my co-workers suggest to the Mom a "ride in the car".... "wouldn't that relax him???" In other words GET HIM OUT OF HERE!!!!!
If you can't get *her* boss' phone number, maybe you can phone your boss (or *anybody* further up the corporate foodchain) while all this hoopla is going on. Someone further up who has the power to stop the madness ...
Yes, I understand that there can be daycare issues, but this is something your inconsiderate co-worker had advance notice of. She is, in effect, creating an environment that makes it impossible for everyone else in the office to get their work done(deadlines! responsibilities! paychecks! oh MY).
We can bring our kids into the office if needed. We have a portable dvd player for the office. the kids just set up shop in their parents office and watch movies all day long. probably not the best for the child but it help get your work done.
Simba is fine. He is 9 years old now. He can't catch the birds like he used to. He justs sits back and watches them now. He gave up on the squirrels a long time ok. He just chases Cali around now for exercise. He is still as handsome as ever.
Robin your co-worker is very lucky to have someone with your patience around. I don't really have any advice, but I wanted to tell you that you do a great Lucille Ball impression "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH".
