W&D 5K & Kids race - can I make both?

If I do the 5K at Animal Kingdom at 7a.m. on Oct 1st can I make it to the EPsN complex by 10 a.m. to see my kids in the kids race? I am more of a fast walker and will only run segments, but this just doesnt seem possible even if I were a fast runner?

Especially if you have a car I don't see why not. Even if you take the full 16/minute mile pace to do the 5k the cool runnings pace calculator gives you a finish time of about 49 minutes and change. So you basically have two hours to get from ak to espn. Not sure how backed up the parking lot gets for the 5k (i've never done it) so I don't know how much time you'll have to get showered and change at the hotel...but I think it's totally doable.

I did the EXp Everest Challenge t yrs ago and the kids race was just before it. The only race I have done at Disney. We have our own car andwerestuckin traffic for about a 1/2hr,the kids even missed thier race even though we wereonly come from ASMo! It was a mess, they kept stopping traffic for people to walk across the way. It was a huge mess. This being the only experience I have, it's what I'm expecting.
Are things usually more organized? The choas after was no better, the race was called due to storms, lightning was horrible and we were running in lakes of water from the massice downpours!... yup,and I'm gunna give it abother go!
