VWL room requests?

I've seen posts regarding getting dumpster views at Villas of Wilderness Lodge, etc.

Can you (or how can you) avoid this when there's only one category of room views?

You can ask for a room near the elevators. They are quite a distance from the few "dumpster view" rooms.

It is extremely difficult to ask for a specific room (as well as trying on the CM’s). With the new room ready policy, guests have reported getting several choices at check-in and this may than help

After "studying" the rooms listed on InstImpres' sites, I came up with this simple rule. .Avoid rooms ending in 60 or 62 as they all seem to have the dumster view. I know this does not cover all the rooms, but if you are offered a room ending in either pair of digits, I would ask for other availability
