I have seen Granny's picture a few times posted her, but it's so hard to tell where the quiet pool is. Is it on the lake-side of the bend in the villas or the valet parking side of the villas? If it's on the lakeside , it seems it may be a shorter walk to the main pool from there, no? Thankspirate:

To give proper credit, the pictures are from disneypix.com. They have a ton of wonderful WDW pictures there!

The pool is on the lake side, right next to the Wilderness Lodge wing and the end of VWL closest to WL. And yes, the main pool is around the corner.

You can see part of the quiet pool if you look closely at this picture. The main pool is between the two wings of the Lodge.

We requested a quiet pool view....here's hoping we get it. This will mean we will be closer to the main pool and the boat dock. We have alot of other family staying in the lodge too. 59 days and counting!

Just remember, though it's referred to as the quiet pool, it surely wasnt when we were there last week!!! No lifeguards, which mean kids do what they want, Kids were jumping in in the deep and shallow ends, throwing balls around, running around the desk chasing each other then going to the hot tub, running through then cannonballing into the pool. I'm all for fun and games, but this was becoming dangerous, I heard alot of the older guests complaining, but not to the parents of the kids, but when they finally arrived!! The kids stopped the running, and just kept jumping in, I did point to the sign that says no diving, when my 4 year old got taken out by one of the boys, but boy did I feel stupid, when they said yeah, it says no diving, we are jumping!!! I felt as a safety measure, there should be lifeguards at all polls, even on the cruise, I was surprised there wasn't one at the family pool!

No one wants to tell their parents or the front desk - but look at this way - if one of these little devils got hurt - his parents would probably sue WDW - guess what the quiet pool is part of a DVC resorts - so guess who would end up paying.....

some parents these days want anyone to accept responsible for their children. they won't do anything - if they are damaging the property and it sounds like they were - call the front desk and let the parents explain to them why their children were running wild!!!

now I am not against children playing - but if these kids were hurting someone it is far beyond playing....

Spicey, you are correct, when I said "when my 4 year old got taken out by one of the boys", it was more of a huge splash, and he went under and was fine, (he's a pretty good swimmer and if I had let him, he would have been keeping of with these kids), but there are alot of littles ones that arn't.!! We went to the "quiet" pool because we thought it would be "quiet", the kids would swim and play, and we could play with them, and no rough housing like in the big pool. Guess I should have been more direct when the parents arrived, or even gone over and gotten a lifeguard from the main pool and said something, the only time they came over was when we were told to get out beacause of lightening, (every day at 3:00!!!)
