VWL Pool

I know that official signs and official notices in the newsletter you get at check in; mean absolutely nothing to some people. That aside, I have not stayed at the WL since the addition of the villas and have a question about the villa pool.

Is there signage at the Villa pool stating it is for the use of the DVC guests are is it offically part of the entire resort?

I know it is not an area with lifeguards so it would never be enforced, since even the guarded pools are not enforced at times, just curious about the policy since it is mentioned often on the Resort board by Lodge guests as such a great pool to relax in.

The sign at the quiet pool says "Welcome Members and Guests", or something to that effect. It is open to all guests at WL and VWL, as far as I know.

In fact, I believe that all DVC quiet pools at resorts (BC, BWI, and WL) are open to all guests at those resorts. They are not exclusive to DVC members only.

When I first bought into VWL in 2001 I was told the quiet pool was a perk for DVC members. That apparently has changed. No one checks anything anyway, people come from Deland to swim there! (only slight exaggeration!)

We did also, but I cant remember ever swimming there with any significant number of people, DVC or otherwise-its usually almost empty. Although it has been since last summer since we stayed there-has it gotten crowded?

The pool is for the use of the WL and the VWL.

I don't think it will be an issue though--we stayed at WL and went over to the quiet pool for a day (didn't know it was DVC at the time) and it wasn't busy at all. I think the biggest thing was the hot tub, and those are always full--those pesky kids
