VWL Music

Does anyone what the music is that plays in the lobby at WL? We looked through all the ones in the gift shop, but didn't see one that seemed like it could be it. We've been home for two weeks, but I can't get the music out of my head. It's making me "home sick!"

The music at VWL/WL is simply awesome. I asked at the gift shop if I could buy the cd, but I was told the songs are from many different artists, and because of copyright laws they could not put a cd together. However, they did give me a printed list of each individual song and artist so I could purchase them separately (I did not). I will look for the list tomorrow, but if I can't find it I'm sure the WL Mercantile will send it to you.

I also picked up that song list from the Mercantile gift shop at WL. The link that loveswdw provided looks like a pretty accurate list of the songs.

The composer whose work is featured the most is Aaron Copland. This CD will definitely get you in the WL mood... Copland: The Music of America. The recording is from Telarc and is item #80339 in their catalog. It should be available from most any music store that carries classical CDs. Reviewers consider it the best single recording of some of Copland's best works. I was a big Copland fan before I visited WL and it made me like the place even more.
