VWL -- Love it or hate it?

DW and I stayed at the villa's in early March and absolutely fell in love with them. We love the quiet, relaxed atmosphere as well as the easy accessibility to the Magic Kingdom, our favorite park! The themeing of the entire resort is stupendous and truly makes for a great trip.

We enjoyed our stay there so much, even though our home is BWV, that we're returning in August! Hoping to add on at VWL soon!

I haven't stayed there but we did tour, and it was lovely. The pool may be on the small side, but it has a feature - bubbling water jets instead of just a quiet pool. The feature pool is at the main lodge, a very short walk. But the best part for me was the spa - that is the nicest jacuzzi/spa I have been in at any DVC property yet! Short walk to the marina, calm and relaxing, a boat ride to MK... it is a winner as far as I am concerned.

Prior to purchasing DVC, we always stayed at WL in a courtyard view room. I was originally going to wait for WLV to purchase DVC, but decided instead to purchas BWV and get an extra 2 years of use.

When we were down in December I toured WLV. The rooms were very nice and the lobby was done great. However, I am glad that I did not wait and purchase there. Personally, I would miss the convenience of being right in the main buiding and the beautiful courtyard views. We spent a lot of time in the main lobby. Depending on your room location at WLV, this could now be quite a hike. It is also quite a walk to Roaring Forks food area. The boat to MK is also quite a walk.

Again, I think the WLV's are very nice. For me however, they are not quite as magical as the lodge itself.
