VWL expert opinions requested

My friends are going to VWL. What building/room requests should they make..nonsmoking is a given...are some of the rooms pretty far from the bus/main building/parking, etc... should they request close to WL, view of Bay Lake, etc....

We just returned from our first visit on Nov. 13th. We stayed in a 1 BR overlooking the pool. Our room # was 5519. The CM stated it was one of the best rooms in the house. It is a corner room which is actually a bit bigger than the other 1 BRs. We really loved it! We were up high facing the pool and we could even see part of the lake (and some of the water light show at night!). I would ask for this room again the next time I visit! The bus stop was a short walk away (none of the rooms are really far from the stop since there is only 1 building that houses the villas). Our room was not next to the elevator, but the elevator was not far at all. I guess it depends if you really want a pool view or not. Tell your friends to have a great time. They'll just love it... it's a beautiful place.

What type balcony does room #5519 have? How far from ice/vending?

Hi BraveMom3,

We had 2 Balconies. One out of the bedroom (this one had a roof) and one off of the living area without a roof. The ice and trash area was right around the corner from the room. No vending machines that I saw.
