VWL balcony/patio question

Is there an advantage to having a first floor room at VWL in regard to size of the balcony/patio? Do you give up privacy by being on the first floor?

I have never stayed on the 1st floor, but I would think you are correct on both accounts....I would think they would be larger, and less private.

Perhaps someone will chime in that has stayed on the 1st, as well as upper floors...

We stayed in a 1st floor studio at VWL in Dec. The patio is big enough for 2 chairs and a small table. Probably smaller than porches above. Privacy is good as long as folks on either side arent on their patio at same time, but honestly, we didnt spend much time out there and we never were able to see anyone else out there when we were. Hope this helps.

the patios on the first floor seemed bigger - but the difference is they aren't surrounded by walls.

I loved the first floor. of course I also loved the 4th floor. We saw more neighbors out on the balcony on the higher floors but you may have a complete different experience.
