VWL at 7 months October F&W

Our home is BWV but we would like to try VWL in October 2010 - for Halloween party. F&W is nice but we thought we would try Wilderness Lodge.

Will I have a shot at VWL during F&W time booking/changing over at 7 month window?

I think you should be able to get in. BCV and BWL are very popular during F&W Festival, so I think a majority of people are trying to get ressies at those resorts.

I would have had first hand experience to share with you. I was going to make a ressie at VWL for this October but at the last minute we decided to stay at AKV.

I got a VWL studio in Oct 2006 (I think the dates were Oct 4-8). And I called at 5 months out and got it so I think your chances are good.

We stayed there last year for one night with no issues. I did call day of, and they were down to single digits in terms of rooms at VWL by the time I called (and out of rooms at the BWV and BCV) but this was before the "day of checkin" rule.
