VWL -- 2bedrm views? Huh??

Am I missing something? We booked our 2 br VWL 7 mos ago (we are BWV folks, so I booked there at 11 mos, and then switched at the 7 mos mark!) When I booked 'em, I did request a "dedicated" 2 br (I did NOT want the sleeper sofa in 2nd br option -- we needed those 2 queens for our crowd of 8 for 10 days). HOWEVER -- it did not occur to me that the possibility of overlooking a garbage site existed? I saw some earlier threads and this has freaked me out! Whether we look into woods or a pool is of no consequence to me. But garbage? Surely you jest! At BWV, you pay point-wise for preferred versus a parking lot, so you know there are some rooms less desirable... but garbage?

THe other thing is --- is it sheer luck or do requests matter? I have been to OKW 5 times. Each time, we requested "near a pool"... each time, we made our reservations welllll in advance (my sister is an OKW...). And I'd say the odds were maybe 50/50 that we were near it. Twice we asked to be near the lobby / mainhouse -- and ended up quite far away. I asked the reservations folks about this and they say, "We put it in your request, but there's no guarantee." SO DOES it matter? (And where the heck are those "garbage view" villas? So help me, if we get that, my BIL and SIL will kid us forever about our "great DVC accomodations"!!!)
