Vtech - is the vmotion better than the vsmile?

We bought the Spongebob Vsmile bundle when it was onsale for $29 at TRU. Here is the link: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3685658

We thought it was vmotion but now that I read the description, it appears to be just vsmile. I think DS would enjoy it anyway but I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to pay a bit more and get the vmotion? Any opinions?

We have the v-motion. 3 year old DS liked it for a short while. The controls can be frustrating at times. Even for Dad. He has now taken over the WII from his 8 year old brother. Has no problems playing mario cart or lego star wars. He has become addicted and have to limit his time.
