Voyage of the little mermaid refurbishment in August?

I had booked fast passes for the voyage of the little mermaid show twice in the last two weeks of August.

I have now had emails offering me two fastpasses for rides in park anytime on those days due to the show not operating.

Does anyone have dates that the show is down for?

I can find nothing regarding a VotLM refurb (or interruption in performance.)

(Doesn't mean it's not happening… just no notification via the usual channels.)

I got the same email and posted about it - no one seemed to know. There was a malfunction with Ariel's tail a couple of days ago, but consensus was that couldn't be enough to cancel FPs two months out.
I'm just assuming it won't be open and if it is it'll be a nice surprise.

I would guess they are going to do at WDW what they did at Disneyland and give Ariel hair instead of a red helmet. Other changes out west also that have been very well received.

I've got a FP+ for early in August and haven't gotten any email to switch. Not a big deal if they decide to close earlier, I just haven't seen it in awhile and thought it would be fun.

I think you're referring to the ride, JOURNEY of the Little Mermaid.

VOYAGE of the Little Mermaid is the show at DHS.

How does that look? I knda like the "helmet" look because it looks like a cartoon and it floats in the water. I'm not sure I want them to change it, unless it looks really good of course.

We laugh at her hair helmet every time we go through the ride, too.

minor bummer to hear this. We had hopes to see new (to us) rides etc. and this is one of them. When I see *new* rides down for refurbishment it reminds of just how long it has been since we have been at WDW.....apparently TOO long, lol. TTA was down the last time we were there and may be again this trip , 2 refurbs happening on the same ride since we've been...we are def slacking. Sad thing is *I* should've been re-furbished as well, lol...to be up to date with everything

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is pretty old (it's the show at Hollywood Studios). This isn't the new ride in Magic Kingdom.

Yes, there is confusion in this thread because of the sub-conversation. The FPs that were cancelled are for the show at DHS. The New Fantasyland ride is not scheduled to be down at this time.
