Vow Renewal?

For those who have had or are planning a vow renewal, how did you pick your date? Are you doing it on a special anniversary? DH and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year and we really wanted to do a vow renewal at WDW, but there were just too many other things going on this year and we have to wait. We are not sure if we'll do it in 2008 or 2009. I really don't want to do it on our wedding anniversary because that's on July 21st. The thought of being there in July again scares me!LOL We honeymooned there and swore we would never go back at that time again! Is it OK to just pick any date and not one that has any special meaning? Our first wedding was in the court house and we really plan on having a full wedding at WDW for our vow renewal.

First welcome. We are planning a VR for our 20th planning... no specific date yet but sort of looking towards our anniversary date which is usually when we always go to WDW. Good luck with your planning and have fun.

for our 20th anniversary VR. We needed to go when school was out. Our actual wedding anniversary is May 28th and we are doing our VR on June 26th.

Our 25th anniversary is in January 2009, but we also have to plan around school holidays. We don't really want the summer because of the heat so we are going for April 2009. I know the parks will be busy, but we have been at that time before and loved it!

Hey, Lisacope your VR is on my DH's Bday!!

I am leaning more towards 2009 because we are taking a big trip to London/Paris in July 2008. I also have to work around school for my kids who are now 9 and 4. I have a lot to think about and plan!
