Hi Ladies,
I am needing some inspiration and thoughts really. DH (lee) and I got married at sunset point in august 2004, since we got married times havent been great for us, lee has had 2 spinal surgeries, I had 3 miscarriages, had a healthy baby boy, the best thing to happen in all the bad times. So now i am really wanting to do a renewal.
My 1st question is do you think i should wait till DS, Jake, is of an age where he can really remember it, he is 18 months old now, or do we just wait till he is 4/5?
Does it have to be on the same date that we actually got married? Do we do have to do it at the same place? If we change these things am i trying to re-write history, if you know what i am trying to say??
I have so many ideas of what I want to do, i know it wont be on a grand scale as we are from the UK, and it will probably just be a few of us that come over. Do Vow renewals have to be very low key or can I go all out and have the day that we feel we didnt have 1st time round??
Thank you in advance for all your help.

I don't think you have to do your vow renewal on the same day you go married or at the same place. We're in the early planning stages right now and depeneding what we do, we might do our VR in a completely different month (and season) than we were married. And we weren't married at WDW so that would be totally different too! I actually want to do something pretty different than our wedding--that's part of the fun of it to me.

For us, it is nearly 9 years married, more than 11 years living together (kinda like 10 we say!), and our kids are both 5 at that time, which we thought was so perfect. It's in september- but our anniversary is actually in December. Although, we had planned to do our VR in January before, as a celebration of our '10th year' of marriage beginning. We weren't 'trying to rewrite history' by changing any dates. We will still have the same wedding anniversary. But we also celebrate still, our springtime 'becoming a couple annivesary', just like we celebrate holidays- so now we'll have a fall date where we probably have a nice date every year
Our children will be involved, but I doubt our DS will remember it, he'll be just shy of 4 yrs old.
