Hi,
We are having a VR on Sat. for our 35th Anniv. at the WP. I would like to know if anyone has any info on who and what amount to tip. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Maureen

I've been told that Disney wedding planners cannot accept monetary tips, only gifts. My plan for tipping is:
* limo driver: $20
* musicians: $20 each (we have a pianist & a string quartet)
* officiant: $25 (I would have tipped more if he had been more helpful/communicative.)
* cosmetology: standard 15-20% I'd normally tip a stylist

I haven't figured out what sort of gift to get my wedding planner, her assistant, the floral designer, and my sales manager. They have all been very helpful. I may wait until after the wedding and then send gifts: possibly bottles of wine, gift certificates for nearby restaurants, or some sort of "gift baskets".

Thanks.:coffee:
Trying to get myself off to work and not think about all that I need to do for 5AM tomorrow.
What about the photographer?
Since this is a Vow Renewal with only 16 of us, I really haven't had that many people helping me. The planner and the flower person have been the only people I spoke to. The planner only on email. I picked my menu for the dinner in the Sonoma Room, and everything else by email. As you know the photographer is from Disney as well as the musicians at the WP.
Oh well off to work.
Maureen

I read somewhere that it's not necessary to tip the Disney photographers/videographers. I think that, like your wedding planner, they aren't allowed to accept cash tips. A Disney policy. I'm not sure why that wouldn't hold for the Disney musicians, too... Perhaps they're more "independent"?? Maybe someone else will know better... You might want to try changing the title of this thread to something like "Tipping??" to get more people involved

sorry, can't help with tipping but just want to congratulate you and hope you and your family/friends have a great day:goodvibes
Maybe you could post some pics sometime after?

PS it our wedding anniversary Saturday too (only 11th years for us).

You can always add extra gratuity. But all of that should have been included in the price of your wedding. The planners themselves do a gift instead of cash. Call and verify with your planner that these things have not changed.
