Ok, here's the story. We have 3 boys (7,5,3) and 1 girl who will only be 22 months when we go. We already have Donald's Breakfast Safari, CRT (lunch), Sci-Fi(lunch), and Crystal Palace(dinner), plus the 3 in the poll. We also plan to eat at the new T-Rex.
So, now I have the dilema of cancelling one of the 3 choices. The Askerhaus(lunch) and Chef Mickey's(dinner) are both scheduled for our Epcot day and Boma(dinner) is scheduled for our Animal Kingdom day. We are staying at POR, if that helps with the decision because we do need to get all 6 of us there.
Should we cancel:

Askerhaus (lunch)
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Boma (dinner)

Thanks!!! Any input would be appreciated!!!

with you kids being smaller i would keep chef mickey's my son had a blast there

I would choose the one with less traveling back and forth. maybe cancel the one you have for dinner and go to T Rex instead and then you could go back to resort.

I agree with pp. Keep Chef Mickeys!

I voted for Askerhaus, our family could not do 2 buffet's in one day. Plus with all the boys they would probably enjoy CM and Boma better than lunch with the princess's.
Try Sunshine Seasons for your Epcot day, lots of good choices for a CS

Enjoy your trip!

based on food...i'd cancel chef mickeys. and the fact that you'll be going to Epcot after as well.

I forgot to clarify that we would not be going back to Epcot after Chef Mickey's. We are not night people:rotfl2: , so after dinner we'd be going back to POR for the night.
We would also not be going back to AK after Boma, just back to the resort.

I have tried to get Garden Grill for dinner for Epcot day, but nothing yet has come up. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions let me know!:worship:

I would keep trying to get this one. First, it is a great character meal, Chip and Dale are lots of fun! Second, it will save you a lot of travel time especially with four little ones. Third, they bring the food to you. After all those buffets it will be a nice break not to have to get in line for your food and then have to get for the kids as well. Hope you have a great trip!:)

boma and chef mickeys are wayyy too good to pass up!

IMO, the restaurants at world showcase are almost always a hit or miss...

I'd cancel Akershaus..wait till your little princess is older and can enjoy the Princesses then. I think Chef Mickeys is probably a must, and Boma is such a different experience, it's worth going.

ok, so right now I'm leaning toward cancelling the Askerhaus. I really would like to replace Chef Mickey's with Garden Grill, but no luck so far. Anybody want to trade:)

Skip Akershus. Two meals close together adn both buffets. YOu will be stuffed!

The last time we went DD had just turned 2 years old. I skipped all of the princessy stuff and stuck to neutral restaurants. CP, Tusker House and GG. She absolutely adored the characters and I really don't think she would have cared for the princesses then.

Next time we go I am booking CRT (already booked!!!), Akershus and 1900 PF since she LOVES the princesses now at 2 1/2 and will be 3 when we go.

Since that is your Epcot day and you need to eat at epcot, i would cancel chef mickey and just stay at epcot until you are ready to head back to your hotel :)

Chef Mickey's Dinner. We enjoy breakfast much more than dinner here.

I voted for Akershus as well..I don't know that the boys would be too thrilled and Chef Mickeys and Boma were great! We've been to them all and they are all good, though!

ugh. Cancel Boma...first of all, it's at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is not really handy to Animal Kingdom park, even if you're driving. Second, it's way too crowded and way to noisy...the tables are so close together you can barely walk through the place. And third, the food is just yuck. Delicious looking BBQ ribs turn out to be covered with cinnamon, not BBQ sauce. Wonderful looking almond-encrusted salmon is burn your tongue hot-pepper sauce holding the almonds onto the salmon. That's just a couple of examples, there's many more.

Yes, they have good desserts...but so do all the buffets.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I'm going to call today- again- and try to change a few things. I think I am going to cancel Askerhaus and I'm going to try to change Chef Mickey's to either breakfast or try to get Garden Grill again. I'm planning on keeping Boma (I really want to see AKL, and our daughter is Ethiopian, so we really want to have some African food).
