IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

CSR is fab-here's why:
lush landscaping
great pool and children's play area
delish poolside food and drinks
transportation for those who don't want to walk around the resort
beautiful lakeside path for those (like me) who want to walk
recreational boats and other things at the marina
bikes
Pepper Market has yummy food -it's very easy to go through the ticket process
own transportation to and from the parks
quiet pool area is very pretty
has a gym
has a hair salon
CMs are 5 star-never had friendlier from GF on down this in itself makes CSR the best
has laundry facilities
great selection of gifts @ the gift shop
I'm sure that i'm forgetting something but these are the ones that stood out for me.

Riverside- the resort is beautiful, rooms very nice and the Riverboat cruise to DTD is the best perk!

Coronao has by far the best theme the best atmosphere the best food and best pool. And the best rooms.

CSR without a doubt. Just look at Mario's pictures, they speak volumes!!!

They are both great resorts. They each have some little special things that make them unique and their themes are very different. I think the one advantage they have over POFQ and CBR is they have varied themes within the resort itself. I would be equally happy to stay at either one but if both were available, all things equal, I would take CSR.

POFQ because of it's intamite size, access to DTD by boat, good bus service, and overall relaxed feel to the resort. princess:

I just got back from my first (and last) stay at CBR. We normally stay deluxe or home away from home resorts, except for our first trip in 1998 when we stayed at the then Dixie Landing.

Of the two moderates I've stayed at, I prefer Dixie Landing - POR

I didn't care for CBR at all. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled but we didn't like how spread out it was. How far everything was. How our bus stop was last so we always had to stand. How long the ride was to MK etc...

I doubt I'd stay at either again. Someday I'll try CSR so I can check it off my list. I'd like to try all the resorts someday!

Everyone before me has said it so well....We just love CSR and we have stayed at all the others. Can't wait to go back in August!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We have 5 in our family. We were told POR was the only mod that would fit us all into one room. If that is incorrect please let me know. We loved POR but we have only been to WDW once so nothing to compare it to. If God is willing we plan on another trip May or Sept of '06 and are discussing other resorts to stay at but I think our mod options are limited.

yes only POR has capcaity at 5 - the others all are 4.

you can also try the FW cabins, deluxes, or DVC resorts

I voted for my long time favorite POR.

I love the food court, gardens, layout, restuarant, DD boat, the walk way, what's not to love.... :cool1:

I am finding it very hard to justify spending more for a deluxe when we loved POR so much. I guess if it ain't broke I shouldn't try to fix it.

POFQ because:

1. It's small, everything is within hop, skip, jump distance
2. Boat to DTD
3. Pool looks cool
4. The laundry room is never crowded
5. Food court has pretty good food
6. Beignets
7. Curtain between vanity and main room
8. 2 sinks
9. Fridge in room
10. Hi speed internet
11. Bus system is great. First pick up and first drop off from parks
12. Short walk to room from bus stop

I agree with all of the above, we had a great time at CSR.

I've stayed at POR, & POFQ POR wins. The resort is quiet and beautiful. We especially loved the quiet pools. We were really far from the main building, but I didn't mind, because the walk was so beautiful.

POFQ was nice, but we were so close to everything that it didn't feel as relaxing. We really missed the quiet pools too. If you want to be close to everything and don't mind a little more busy-ness, you might go for POFQ.

I just got back from 3 nights at POFQ, having never stayed there previously.

You know, I was expecting to love it since everyone here raves about it, but I think DH and I prefer CBR (haven't tried POR or CSR).

The newly refurbished room was pretty nice, but at close inspection, the bathroom floor was pretty gross - looked very dirty (the tiles were originally white, but no longer), and there was some foreign hair (both DH and I have light hair, and this was long and black) on the floor upon check-in. If I let myself think about the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of hotel rooms too much I get freaked out, and this was a not so subtle reminder.

And no, I didn't call for a reclean, just swept the floor and shower with tissues, and told DH not to walk barefoot in the room or bathroom (I never do, even in my own house!).

I think we just liked the tropical feel of CBR better, and I do prefer the bathroom at CBR, because it has the darker slate tile floors (best to keep me in the dark), and the dual sinks with the full vanity. I didn't like the pedestal sinks with the small shelf at POFQ - it was very precarious keeping my toiletries balanced up there.

The compactness of POFQ could be a plus (parking lot wasn't far, and never full), but I also think there's something to be said for CBR's vastness - I didn't feel like I was on top of people there, and we thought our room in Jamaica was perfectly located.

It's not that I wouldn't ever stay at POFQ again, but I think if I had options, I'd go elsewhere. We walked over to POR for breakfast at Boatwright's, and I might like to try there. I thought their grounds were more attractive. I have no interest in CSR.

(And of course, I prefer the deluxes overall! :goodvibes )

Just my opinion, but I know it's one in the minority!
