Poking through blogs and found a post that reminded me--I'd certainly like to stop by Voodoo Doughnut on my Universal day. I've been to one of their Portland locations years ago and had to wait in line for half an hour--and I've heard it's popular in CityWalk as well. But is it that popular? When's a good time to go? Ideally I'd snag a donut (ahem, doughnut) for breakfast on the way in, but since I'm rope-dropping for Hagrid's that seems like an iffy plan. Are they very busy after the parks close? I'm planning to do the parks from open to close and wasn't going to exit to CityWalk to eat lunch, but I could nip out if it'd save me a long line later.

Last week, midday no lines. At open/close guaranteed lines. An afternoon donut break sounds yummy to me. Enjoy!

Yup, no lines midday.
Good to know, thanks! That seems like the best plan, then. I don't have anything else particularly planned for my evening that day, but I don't want to count on having the energy and patience to stand in a long line for food at that point.

I've walked over early from HRH around 8 AM and found no line. This was last year, and I saw long lines mid-day, if that has changed, perhaps the novelty is wearing off? It opens at 7, should be good then.
