Vons grocery delivery - we are arriving this Saturday & looking for info please

We are arriving this Saturday morning to DL for our first trip(yay!), and looking to order some water and maybe a few snacks.
Can anyone help me with figuring out how to order? I went to the site and started to register putting in my own address and stuff, but that can't be right. So, do I put in the hotel as my address? Staying at the Tropicana. Any chance I can get it on Saturday sometime and they will leave it for me? The hotel will hold it for us, correct? I just read a couple comments about ordering from Vons the other day, or from Amazon pantry but they(amazon) won't deliver till Monday. This is a sudden decision and I guess we are running out of time to research and get a delivery, lol. Also remember someone saying something about a free delivery and I did see mention of it on Vons site also.
Just looking for a little helpful info and tips for using Vons. If anyone can help, that would be awesome and much appreciated!

It's been awhile since I ordered, but I believe you put in the hotel's address, yes.

You might want to call Tropicana and ask their procedure. I just did this for Desert Inn, and they told me they would indeed hold it for me, and put cold items in the fridge in the breakfast room. They also instructed me to put my name/reservation number on the delivery address, so they could verify it's for a guest.

Also, I believe Vons has a $50 minimum order. So if you want to use it, you might need to fill out with more stuff than you had in mind (I just got good chocolate ) There is a discount code for first time users, I believe it's easy7? That gets you free delivery for your first time. It should say on the website.

EASY7 is the code for free delivery with a minimum order I believe. I put my hotel address down, and under business name I put the name of my hotel. Once you start the check out process ( step 4 - delivery info ) you can put instructions like ' leave with front desk' etc.

I would check with the Tropicana to see if they will cold store your perishables but most hotels I have delivered to will do that for you.

Let us know what trouble you run into if any. I just had an order delivered a couple of weeks ago

@Minniekins - Vons delivery is excellent! We've done it 4 times now and it saves so much money! Unfortunately, the hotel will most likely not hold the delivery for you. We stay at the Camelot Inn (the sister property of Tropicana) and they would at one time hold deliveries for guests, but not anymore. I would assume the same with the Tropicana, since they are sister properties. I'm not sure why they changed the policy. It was really nice when they would hold the deliveries, but I think they don't want to be held responsible for the items. So, we just chose a time for delivery (hour window) and just planned on getting back to the hotel for a break at that time. The delivery person will call your cell phone and let you know that he is at the hotel and then can deliver it to you. Definitely call before making arrangements, because you may run into trouble if the hotel will not hold it.

There is a $50 minimum order, but that isn't hard to reach. We ended up ordering a lot of water, soda, and breakfast items that were easy to grab and go. I think we buy two cases of the Dasani water bottles, which isn't hard for us to go through in a weeks time.

There's only myself and my DD25 so we really don't need $50 worth of things from there. We were just going to get a case of water and a few snacks. But, glad to have the info for a future trip, so thank you both again!

You're welcome! I don't think we'll do it this next time, either, since it's just DH and I, and the hotel offers free breakfast. However, we are taking Uber from SNA to our hotel, and I understand they will usually stop at a store for you for 5 minutes, so you can run in and grab a rack of water. I think that's what we'll do. Other than that, you can always pick up your (overpriced) snacks from the convenience stores that many of the Harbor hotels have. There's one at Park Vue just behind Coldstone. We'll probably have our own power bars we bring from home, too, for emergency snack attacks in the parks.

There is also a Target and a Walmart Neighborhood Market not to far from the Disney area. Your hotel can call you a taxi and the fare shouldn't be more than $10 each way. (just another option )
