Volcano Excursion

Has anyone on the boards done this excursion? Any comments about it?

My husband mentioned that this interested him. I realize this would be an all day adventure starting at 5AM and ending probably around 10PM.

If this is your only plan of ever getting to the Big Island, I say go for it. I've done all these things not as an excursion but staying there, and they are all well worth seeing. Doing them all in one day will be busy but not crazy.
