Hi all,

We are hoping to go to Volcano Bay during our Universal 4-night stay - newbie here - have never been to Universal. I know enough to go on a weekday, not on a weekend at least. :o

I called just now for premium seating (the 2 lounge chairs with a cover and small locker) - I thought she said 39.99 for the day (which I thought was fair), but my phone had skipped and it was actually $234 . for the day for those two lounge chairs - umm no, too expensive.

Two quick questions - how hard is it to get two lounge chairs, is it safe to leave your wallet/phone in a zipped up beach bag on your chair while you are swimming?

Also - what slides/ rides there can anyone recommend that are not too intense, I have two kids and want them to work their way up in terms of intensity. What are some slides they should start with on the less-intense side?

I know there is a family raft ride on the less intense side, not sure what the name of it is.

Thanks again for any advice, Marina :stitch2:

Highly recommend this bag - we have used it at Volcano Bay, highly recommend! we had no trouble finding seats!

If you have time, check out YouTube videos of the various rides to get an idea of where you want your kids to start. My kids ended up loving ika Moana, Krakatau, Maku Puihi, the Taniwha Tubes, and were obsessed with the fearless river. Definitely check out a map, know where the rides are, and have a general idea of where you want to set up base camp.

Was there end of September last year. We got 4 chairs close to the locker area, by the wave pool and bar. We put our phones and wallet in locker and left shoes, hat, sunscreen in the chairs. Easy peasy.

We don’t take much to water parks. I usually leave my phone and my payment method if it is not a band with it in a pocket of my clothing that I wear to the parks in a small bag that we place under the beach towels on our chairs. This is at multiple water parks in Florida and at home. Never once had an issue. That being said don’t leave anything you can’t live without.

Thanks so much!

The Fearless River, that's the more intense lazy river, correct? How intense is it? Any drops or anything?

Thanks again, Marina

If you get there at opening, no problem finding lounge chairs. Many people leave stuff with their chairs, I don’t take my phone to VB and keep my AP, room key, and credit card in a lanyard. Some have waterproof lanyards for their phone.

taniwha tubes are a safe tube ride. One of the mako puihi raft rides is the mildest, I never go to that side of the park
