Vocal Cord Nodule

Yesterday I was diagnosed with a nodule on my vocal cord. I wasn't surprised as I have been having issues with my voice for a LONG time. Has anyone else had this? If so, please tell me about your experience.

Hi Doodle,
I have not had nodules but my DD was diagnosed when she was 5. Her voice was very hoarse but we had grown use to it so it was not something we paid attention to until we moved and her new pediatrician noticed it.

After her visit to the ENT she was referred to speech therapy. She went twice a week for about two months. She had many exercises to help her use her voice correctly and amazingly the nodules went away. I am now aware of when she is not using her voice correctly and have her do her lip flutters and AH's to correct the problem and it still amazes me how something so simple works so well.

Hope you can use speech therapy to correct your nodules....good luck!
