VMK REQUESTS - Please post on this thread

I dont do the VMK thing, but hubby and daughter do. We went to DL a couple of weeks ago and went to innoventions (or someting like that! right across from autopia..) and they just asked the guy there for these cards. We came home with a TON! LET ME ASK THIS: what does "are you taken" mean on VMK???

Us adults really hate the "are you taken" thing you are talking about. We are hoping VMK will be able to put a stop to it at some point. Basically it is a player asking if another player has a boyfriend/girlfriend. Kids are trying to "hook up" in the virtual world and most of us adults/parents do not approve and try to stop it when we can.

Thats what we thought they were talking about. We dont like that either. I guess my hubby keeps my daughter in their own rooms as much as possible... and we'll make sure we put the skids on anyone with the "are you taken " stuff from now on, too. Thanks for that parental info. Gotta stick together!

I would love the cards for these items. If anyone is getting them and doesn't play VMK, please let me know I would really love to have them.

While I would like the codes for the items (that stitch hat is way too cute!), I am especially interested in the actual cards, as I am trying to collect all the VMK cards. (If you would PM me I will send you my address so you can send the cards)

I am more than willing to send you the postage, or mail you or your child a postcard from Disneyland (please let me know what character or attraction you would like on the card, if you have a preference), as a thank you.

DS has gotten this question asked and I certainly don't like it. I don't understand why it has taken Disney this long to block these words/phrase. I know that Disney is striving to make this a safe environment for people of all ages. Who can you complain to?

mickeysgal, there is a "contact us" link at the bottom of the homepage. Feel free to write and tell them of your concerns as a parent. We used to be able to say 'merry', but too many were using it for a substitute for marry, so VMK took it out of the dictionary. They can be responsive, so please let them know.

Of course, the best thing to do, even with a Disney game is to monitor your children while they are on line. Better yet, create your own character and play with them. You might find yourself enjoying it! There are a lot of adults here on the Dis that play. Come and meet some new friends

I was disappointed to find out on my last day in DL that every store in DL had a card that you could get with any purchase. I saw the sign saying Card with purchase at the Magic Shop and when talking to the CM she said each store had a different card. At least we got a card there. As well as we did the quest and got 3 cards for each land we did the quest for. (Fantsyland, Frontierland and Adventureland. BTW as I understand you can also print out the quest for Tommorowland online and run through it when in DL and then get cards for Tomorrowland)

Yes and No. We booked our Dec. 03, Oct 05 and March 06 trips online. My May 06 trip with friends was book as pieces thru various places.

I used AAA which uses disney travel , but at a discounted rate.

In July 2005 I booked online and didn't have any problems. I only booked hotel and tickets though, I did airfare and dining options seperately.

FYI- the OP is not looking for info on booking. They are looking for people who may have the VMK cards you get for booking. Apparently the other thread isnt enough.
