VMK question

My son has been having so much fun on VMK that I decided to start a character myself. I entered the code for the pirate suit and got it. My son tried and was told it was not a valid number and could only be entered once. Then he entered his codes from the VMK quest at the real MK. It would not let me enter mine. Is that because he is a minor and needed my authorization to get a character on VMK? I have the ability to manage his account and track what he's been up to on VMK?

hmm i think the problem you two are having is that you are trying to share codes! Certain codes (like the ones from the parks) can only be used once. If you enter them first then your son can't use the same code again

I'm still having some trouble. Is the pirate costume code a once and done code. Shouldn't he be able to get it too on his character? Also, I'm having trouble finding fellow DISers. How do you get to each others rooms? Do I type something in particular?

There are some codes that can be used once per character but for multiple characters. These codes are posted in a sticky thread at the top of this forum, and include ones that can get you:
- Magic pins: buried in treasure, pirate costume, cursed storm
- 500 Credits (2 codes)
- a shirt

You son's and your character can each use these codes, but only once per character.

On the in-park quests, you get cards with codes on them. These codes can only be used by a single character EVER. Meaning, once used, never again usable by anyone.

To meet up with Dis people the first time is very hard. Once you get a dozen or so on your friend's list, you can usually find someone who is on.
You might try posting that you're on, and could someone please try to find you. Many people play VMK while also reading the Dis boards.

I met your ds, and he is great He kept trying to type your sn but it wouldn't let him. Now, was he trying to type LOVETHATTINK, or your real sn luvthattink? I kept typing it and posting it to make sure it looked exactly how I typed it. He said it was not working and only got the ###
Just make sure it is LUV and not LOVE. Hope this helps!

I requested lovethattink, but I see the powers that be at VMK gave me luvthattink. I didn't even notice.
