VMK New Year's Eve Party Start Time - Too late!

If anyone has been around kids on New Years Eve as I have. Babysitting a bunch of kids New Years Eve, can be very profitable (grin) Anyway - We all know that a party for the kids starts early ( say 6 - 8 pm) since they usually are asleep before or just after midnight. It looks like VMK has set this up for the older kids, teenagers and adults more than the smaller children. I think it should start around 430pm. Just my opinion.

I created a poll (My first) to see what others think about this. Hopefully, VMK ppl will stop by and take a look. This is a mulitple choice poll. You can chose more than one option

I don't like that it starts so late because I'm not even going to be home by then. I have to chaperone a sleepover for a youth group I'm an adviser for, and that starts at like 8:00pm, so I'll have been gone for quite a while by the time things start on VMK (and will not be back again later that night). Blah.

here's an since you can use Tivo to record and play a missed show on tv, i wonder if there's a way to use it to record and play vmk. that way you get to party all night and you don't miss out on any of the goodies that may come out tonight. :

I think the New Year's Party is perfect for East Coasters. And if you are a West Coaster and happen to find a life on New Year's Eve, you miss the entire event.

It starts at 8:30pm PST.
If you are on the West Coast and going to a New Year's Party, chances are you are not home at 8:30pm

It ends at 1:00am PST
If you are on the West Coast, unless you leave a New Year's Party right at midnight (or are partying near home), you cant get on VMK by 12:50am.

I am amongst the "omg i found a life tonight" crowd that will completely miss the VMK New Year's fun.

If it started at 7:30pm OR ended at 2:00am all times zones could enjoy a piece of it. I would love to enjoy the New Year with my VMK friends and "RL" friends, but can't do it with the timing as is.

So, that's my take, since you asked

I have to agree. I don't care how late they would like to run it for the west coasters that is fine but starting it at 11:30PM just leaves so many young east coast kids out that play. After all they claim this is a game for kids... Not a lot will be up that late. Of course ink and smalld are begging me to let them stay up top 4am

I guess vmk is never going to please all of us with the timing they choose. Think of us UK players, the party starts at 4.30am. Can't see many staying up that late, unless they are hard core party peeps! Mind you maybe if there are any early morning UK peeps out there we can catch the end of the party, vmk will close at 9am for us.

Yay! You made me feel so much better... that's what we're doing.... Chinese food, PJ's on, fireplace going.... there's way too much snow outside for traveling anywhere anyways...

the east coast party will start at 11:30 or 8:30 please tell me it's 8 i'll be up no doubt I have the new years eve party at my house so i'm doing both but 11:30 is a bit late to start a party!!

Well they did not do much last year for party host went and visited some rooms but the party really was just hanging with friends last year. And counting down the different time zones.

Wish VMK would acknowlegde the UK players and have a count down for them.

Anyone want to risk contacting them in the game.

As for me we do not drink, so we stay home and watch the ball drop on times square. Have our first kiss for the new year and life goes on lol.
