VMK dictionary got a major overhaul

for crying out loud, by August the only words we'll be able to say are

cute; boot; or; taken; and; ok

oh and maybe, if we're lucky, we'll be able to say "hi."

It's a shame they tood out so much. Although I am glad that they too out boi, gurl, wut and some of the others that just promote bad spelling.

And then adding those names? I'm guessing that those are names of characters in HSM. But we still should not have them allowed. Just as someone here said, they added their name. So all they have to do now is tell people __ is my real name. Giving out personal info.
And chad, gabriella, ryan, taylor and troy are fairly popular names.

Heh, well I for one am a bit upset that they took out the word 'grl'. It was easier when people called me grl because I always knew that they were specifically talking to ME since every girl calls every other girl..."girl". Oh well. Such is VMK life.

They removed "gg"! I can't type fast enough at the end of a game of pirates to write out "good game". I will have to pre-type it as I finish playing the round...they really do bring you back to the lobby all too fast after completing a game! lol The replacement will have to be "arg".

lol I agree with this. I was getting one of my mules through the pirates levels today finally and i was shocked first when I tried to replay yt to a gl. Then after a really good round that I could not say gg. I am not fast enough for what little time they do give you to type stuff. I think gg was a poor choice for them to take away as people cannot congratulate others as easily. But as with most of the others I am sure that people will figure a way around it. (oh yeah the final shocker was when I tried to tell someone idk lol)
Please please don't take away lol or rofl unless you promise to take taken away VMK

Yes taking out "taken" would be a good thing but not sure that is going to happen. Just like I do not think VMK should promote "Cute or Boot"....what kind of message does that send children.

Maybe VMK staff should spend less time taking out words and more time reveiwing chat logs and banning players that have stepped over the line and not players that are reported for trival or unjust causes. Just my OP in case VMK staff is reading this.

I sooo agree with you about cute or boot! It sends the wrong message completely. I won't let my kids play that game at all. ANd what is with the people having rooms called girl's locker room and boys locker room? I won't let my kids go in those rooms either

And all this time I thought I was the only one who had issues with that game! Right after I joined in November, a girl came right up to me and asked me to play that. I asked her what it was about, and she explained it, thus letting me know I had no need to play that game, ever. Even though it's just pretend and a virtual character, it's just another thing putting emphasis on looks and clothing style, etc. over what's "inside." There's enough of that in real life, I think, without having some random "virtual person" judging your looks/appearance and kicking you out of a room if you don't cut the mustard in their eyes. Nope, I do not like that game.

Anywho, the worst to me was the removal of "gg." When a game like pirate's ends, you don't always have enough time to type out "good game."

Oh Dagny!! I'm with you on this one! Even WORSE than grubing and grabing! Gr is my all time FAVORITE word of all on VMK! It just won't be the same if Pink can never say "Gr!!" again....

Now if I could only find a way of removing gr from her real life dictionary...

I have to say I think they get more enjoyment and entertainment out of watching our reaction to their dictonary changes than they do creating new items or clothes. The discussions here and how players work around the system can beat anythign ABC has put on in the last 20 years...

We NEED Lalalaness!!! How else do we describe those moments when "fix" people walk into a room rambling about something that makes absolutely no sense to anyone leaving you starting at your computer screen thinking, "What the ?????"
