Confirmed this morning, they are both gone :(

Bummer, I would have liked another day to attempt that quest with it's ridiculous fireworks score. Thankfully I have friends who were able to help me with the fireworks score. I wish VMK would think about lowering these scores in the future. The suggestion in another post to merely have finishing the mini-game be the requirement to pass the task is an excellent one. Perhaps if Yavn comes back to visit us, he will take that suggestion to heart.

What do you mean by finish mini game?????

I can hardly ever make it to the 2nd round and if I do then the 3rd round is just not going to happen. :(

I think she meant actually playing and finishing a mini-game, regardless of the score you get.

Anyway, I had a nice chuckle at your avatar. :rotfl:

That's exactly what I meant :)

And yes, Mal's avatar rocks! :)

I always thought the added the games to make us take a little time on the quests and to make it more difficult to do it over and over again with mules.

So finishing a game will take care of that but fireworks is really difficult on a quest day unless you are a top player. You might be able to earn te score if only you could FINISH the round! Most of the people playing get knocked out before they can get far enough to earn the score.

Since it is the only game that does that I wish they would do something differently.

I am okay with the birthday quest gone, but I love Disneyland, so I am mad that VMK took out the green director chair! :furious:

when was the chair released? Was it a new item? I missed it! Anyone want to trade me an extra?

The chair was released yesterday and was ONLY out for the day. It looks just like the gold 50th director's chair, only it's green.

I'm so happy that I bought several of the chairs. :goodvibes

I finally quit doing the quest at 12am east even tho I could have run through it once more. I would have liked to have been able to do it a couple more times.

:sad2: I wanted the chair so badly, just one. Unfortunatly I'm running on 41 credits, and I had no time to wait for the mini-games... they were so backed up for the quest. Ohhh well I suppose.

i am also looking for birthday pin AND green director's chair(willing to trade!). the fireworks score was TERRIBLE! and dc didn't help either. also, my credits was very low, bc of the slide competition(still hoping to get accepted!), so i went to go play pirates, and just my luck, i had to go out yesterday for a long time and when i finally got back on VMK, it had slipped my mind :sad2:

I hear ya. :guilty:

All those looking for trades, should probably actually post on the VMK Trades & Wishes board :) Might get a faster response.

I agree that the quest for the pin could have first been available for the week like a weeklong birthday celebration. (Its not like yesterday was really VMK's actual "birthday")

The mini games were plentiful and skill required on the different games was varied. I agree with Lisa that they appear to have been added to slow them down and reduce replication of the pin by mules. Unfortunately it is a little overkill.

The claim on the car magic is each color was skill based -(BS)- but the mark of 170,000 in fireworks for a birthday pin that everyone should be able to get is a little over the top and makes the ability to get the birthday pin skill based and/or encourages people sharing account information or gouging in trades to get it.

*I would note I have no problem achieving most any score they set on any of the mini games - my complaint on this is based on other family members and the younger less skilled players that VMK IS full of. I also had promissed to pick up items for two vacationing friends and that added to my issues - I had commitments to get one for me and four others - this makes a long day of quests.

I agree completely. I don't have a problem getting at least 120,000 if that's what the true requirement was, sometimes up to 200K, but not on quest days. So no pin. And capturedbygrace, too bad we didn't hook up. I could have bought enough chairs for both of us if I'd known about it!!! I never even went on as Caribbean_Gal though, never finished the quest for one player, why start another? I couldn't even get into the fireworks lobby the whole last half hour. :badpc: :badpc:

Lucky you!! With fireworks as insane as it was yesterday, took me 6 hours to get beyond it! So many mules going through, the game was really crowded and impossible for many - some of whom walked away with no birthday pin at all. Wonder if that's what vmk meant to happen in a kids game when celebrating a birthday......

As I said I guess the birthday pin was only for players on the 3rd skill level of car magic (new method of measuring VMK SKill ;) )

?? 170,000 versus 280,000?

No comparison. The 280,000 score is achievable by .01% of the players and represents a nearly flawless game. Far too difficult. 170,000, if one's system can run the game, can be achieved consistently by most anyone willing to practice.

280,000 is 4th level car magic for green car - level 3 skill is Yellow car and it only requires 100,000 in fire works but does require 45 ghosts. so the system isn't exact but it is the closest we can get to make the point - are you debating that it requires some skill to reach 170,000? If you are I would argue that most people that can get 170,000 make it to the final round and therefore are in reach of 240,000 if not in <<range>> as in within sight of, the altimate goal of 280K
