Whats a good vitamin for kids?

For those of you who give your kids vitamin please let me know.

My dd id 13. She's a picky eater. She doesnt like steak, ground beef and certain types of meat. She does love chicken and eats some pork(ribs and pulled bbq). She likes salads and use to eat lots of fresh veggies but is limited due to her braces. I think vitamins would be good. I;'ve been on her about drinking more water. Lately she's been asking me waht causes bad circulation. Tonight she asked again and i asked why she said her arm or hand falls asleep. I remind her to drink water!!!!!.

She has a difficult time swallowing pills so a chewable or gummy type would be good. Thanks inadvance

All the research tells us that in the majority of cases it is preferable to get vitamins from our food rather than in supplements. What vitamins do you think she may be deficient in? You mention vegetables, but does she eat fruit? Most vitamins you can get through vegetables are also available in fruit. If she's having trouble with veggies because of her braces, what about making smoothies that include both vegetables and fruits, or cooking pureed sauces with vegetables?

My girls get One a Day women's gummy vitamins. They are 16 and 17 and have been taking them for 2 years. My girls also take a calcium chew. While it is optimal that they get all their nutritional needs through their diet, my girls are on the go constantly and it doesn't hurt to make sure they are getting what they need with a vitamin supplement.

My DD likes this one(she can't swallow pills easily either) however, since it is "gummy" it might get caught in the braces?

The bolded needs to be addressed by a doctor. Vitamins and water will not stop her hands from going numb. It may be something very little but it could also cause permanent damage.

I totally agree....best to get nutrition in food, but I use vitamins to fill in the gaps. :)

May be deficient in Calcium & Vitamin D- common problem for teen girls.
Might want to supplement these unless add dairy, almond or soy milk to diet.
