Was wondering if anyone has ordered business cards from Vistaprint recently and could tell me how the cards compare to "regular" business cards in regards to weight of the paper. There's an option to get 100lb paper card stock for an extra $6.49 but didn't know if that was worth it compared to their regular stock.

Are the regular free cards flimsy? Or would they pass well enough as a regular business card?

Thanks!

They do have the vistaprint logo on the back if you get the free ones, but hubby has been using them for 5 years for our landscaping company. We figure the price is so go we can hand them out by the dozens. We are not concerned with the logo on the back. I don't think our clients care either. Besides less overhead means lower rates!
They are not as thick as some cards, but the aren't really cheap feeling either. They are about the same as scrapbooking cardstock

My husband is a printer and he said they (being VistaPrint) print on 80# stock which is very common for business cards. 100# stock is thick and he said most companies do not use it business cards. Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you... that answers my questions perfectly :)

These cards are very nice quality and I get them to hand out to dining table friends on cruises, include with FE gifts, etc.

I am a graphic artist. I can immediately pick out a Vistaprint card, even without seeing the back. Something about their paper. Even though they claim it's 80#, I have my doubts. I would pay the extra and get he 100# stock just to add something to it. My cards are on 120# recycled paper to and I've been told they stand out even more so as a result. The purpose of a card is to stand out, right?

the business cards are good. I've ordered from them twice and was pleased both times.

The price does go up as you personalize. Extra for your own pics. If you do flyers, know that they charge for each pic upload - even if the brosure has an opening for one.

Do not order the t-shirts. They fade first washing and are wide and short - not worth even their great price.

I love thier products. Business cards are great and free! I own a small business, and also have gotten their pens, address labels, tee shirts, yard signs, banners, magnets and postcards. All have been great quality. Also, I pay for the 21 day shipping and most of the time the stuff is shipped within 2 weeks.

Actually, they're just for what MommaluvsDis uses them for. I'm going on an extended holiday and plan to meet new people, so they would be a basic contact card with email address, etc. I'm not so worried about them being spectacular, I just didn't want something that would feel like a regular piece of paper.

But this does help if I ever plan to use them for business purposes. :) This works out perfectly, actually because I can check them out hands-on while I'm not too worried about the quality. I was mostly just worried about them being little better than the perforated ones you get for a home ink jet printer. :headache: Though it's been years since I've seen those too, so maybe the quality has improved as well.
