Is it possible to walk from Downtown Disney back to the villages? I know it is close but just how close? We are doing a Segway tour at WL and thought when we were done we could just take a bus to DD and walk back to Vistana so the people we are vacationing with will not have to pick us back up. Thanks for any info!

it isn't the walk that is the problem it is 536 - that street is very, very big and very, very busy - you would have to walk under the interstate and no sidewalks that I remember.

The Vistana Villages is far from DTD and closer to Sea World. It is a very far walk. The Vistana Resort is much closer to Downtown Disney but I would'nt cross that road.

I agree. If you don't want to inconvenience your friends, I'd just opt to take a taxi from your segway tour. Between waiting for the bus to DTD and then walking the rest of the way to the main Vistana (not Vistana Villages)---it would take awhile as well as not being the safest walk.

I have to agree with the others that it shouldn't be done, if it could be done at all. Sorry, OP.

We stayed at the Vistana Villages on our last trip, and I couldn't imagine walking it! Really big roads with heavy traffic and no pedestrian areas that I remember. It just isn't a pedestrian friendly area.
