Vistana Villages

I know this has probably been answered before, (I think I actually asked the question ) but we are staying at the Villages this Aug. in a 2 bdr. Do they have a check-in policy, similar to the 'diamond lane' at the Vistana resort? How do we go about making requests for a certain area/floor? I read before that the top floors are nice, because of the higher ceilings-but I wasn't sure if that was the case in all of the buildings. We don't mind extra stairs, if the room is nicer, but we do need a non-smoking room because of my daughter's asthma. So, if my 'wish list' was, say,..newer, bigger room, top floor, non smoking, close or semi-close to pool, is there a certain section I should request..and , if so, how do I request it???

I do not think they do. It is a much smaller resort but they just opened an additional section .

I don't remember a Diamond Lane for check in. We had an upper floor room, but I don't know if it was any different than any of the lower floors ... we were in the Keys section, which was very convenient to the pool and other areas of the resort. It wasn't new or old, somewhere in between. LOL
