Which one is closer to Disney?

Does anyone have any reviews of either of these places?

What is the best/most cost-efficient way to book these? The sites had them at 170 per night, I was hoping for less.

Hi Ellajoan,

The Vistana Resort is closer to Disney than the Vistana Villages.

This thread might help answer all your questions about the Vistana Resort:

Or, this one is also useful (though its older and some of the information is now out of date, as the resort has gone through an extensive refurb in the last several years):

My trip report from August 2013 highlights our stay at the Vistana Resort. Click on the link in my signature for lots of pictures and a full write up of our experience (which was awesome enough that we purchased two annual usage units there when we came home :) ).

If you check out post 112 on page 8 of the first link above, our resident expert bankr63 gives a full list of the ways to rent a unit at SVR. It's a great tutorial that will probably help you find the best rate possible.

The Resort is closer to Disney parks than the Villages - by about 2 miles. Both are closest to Hollywood Studios, of the four Disney theme parks. Vistana Resort is about 5 miles from DHS and Vistana Villages is about 7 miles away. It's about 6 miles and 8 miles, respectively, to Epcot; about 7 miles and 9 miles to Animal Kingdom parking; and about 8 and 10 miles to TTC for Magic Kingdom parking.

We've stayed at both a couple of times and both are very good resorts - though we now prefer the newer, smaller Vistana Villages; specifically in the Key West section at the back of the resort.

The cheapest way to rent a timeshare week is usually to find an owner online who rents or if you have a relative of friend who owns a timeshare somewhere and would be willing to make the exchange for you. Other options include ebay, redweek.com or checking the Marketplace classified section of the Timeshare Users group at tug2.net.

Were at vistana resorts now. I booked through sky auctions .com 500.00 for 2 br 2 bath that sleeps 8. No additional fees. That was the best price I could find by far.
